Tips for healthy, longer-lasting, timber floors
Keep it clean

Maintaining a clean timber floor is essential to preserving its appearance and durability.

Dust, dirt, and debris can cause abrasions and dull the finish over time. Regular sweeping or vacuuming, combined with occasional damp mopping, helps prevent buildup that can damage the floor’s surface. We provide tailored cleaning solutions that are gentle on your floors while keeping them spotless, ensuring long-lasting beauty and function.

prevent scratches

Scratches, scuffs and dragging chairs and equipment across your floor can damage the surface of the timber and diminish its appearance.

To protect the floor, it's crucial to use furniture pads, avoid high heels or abrasive footwear, and be mindful of heavy equipment or objects. We install high-quality, durable finishes that are resistant to wear and offer practical advice on how to protect your investment from everyday abrasions, ensuring your floor stays pristine for years.

routine care

Routine care is vital to extend the life of your timber floor and keep it looking its best. Regular inspections, cleaning, dust mop and wash the floors regularly to remove dust and grit. Regular maintenance is key in helping identify potential issues before they become major problems. Simple tasks like wiping up spills promptly, checking for signs of wear, and reapplying protective finishes as needed can make a significant difference. Our expert team offers maintenance schedules tailored to your specific floor type and usage, ensuring your timber floors stay in top condition for the long term.

high-use areas

High-traffic areas are more susceptible to wear and tear, but with proper care, they can last longer. In spaces like sports courts, schools, or event centers, we recommend applying extra protective coatings and conducting routine maintenance to address any signs of heavy use. We specialize in creating customized solutions for high-use areas, ensuring your timber floors remain functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing under constant activity.

protect the timber

We install state-of-the-art sprung timber flooring systems designed to reduce the risk of injury while enhancing performance. Our floors are engineered with safety in mind, providing a secure and supportive surface for athletes, students, and visitors, while also meeting all industry standards for safety and functionality.

line markings

If the seal wears through to the timber, the timber will be exposed and may discolour in patches. The only way to rectify this is by resanding the floor.

Once the seal wears away, the line markings are next to be affected. An extra layer of seal in high traffic areas such as walk ways is always highly recommended.

Protect your users

As the seal wears away, the floor becomes more slippery, posing a risk to those using the venue.  Ensuring the safety those using your timber floors is just as important as preserving the floor's appearance. In high-use environments like sports courts or event centers, slip resistance and shock absorption are key factors to consider.

Inspect your floor to check your floor’s health. We look for any signs that may indicate larger problems such as signs of floor expansion due to a water leak.

Thoroughly clean the floor removing any gum, stickers, and scuff marks. These must be removed before applying the new coat of seal to avoid sealing them into the floor.

Vacuum out the game posts, electrical boxes, expansion and ventilation gaps.

Cover and protect any hardware installed next to the floor to prevent the seal from getting on them.

Apply the new seal.
